Financial Controller (CPA) – Global Startup

A global startup in the optics and jewelry industry is looking for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join as a Financial Controller.

About the Role:

• Manage daily cash flow forecasts and payment projections.
• Perform bank reconciliations, supplier and customer account reconciliations, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Handle international bank transfers and clearing activities.
• Monitor shareholders’ loans and investments.
• Prepare monthly payroll and manage reporting to tax authorities.
• Lead month-end closings: journal entries, bank reconciliations, invoice processing (international customers and suppliers).
• Work closely with external auditors to prepare annual financial statements and tax reports.
• Liaise with international companies, import/export partners, and customs brokers.
• Manage inventory records, including processing, reconciliations, and conducting inventory counts.

Requirements:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with experience as a Financial Controller in a global company.
• Hands-on approach with a proactive, independent working style and a strong sense of ownership ("big-picture" thinker).
• Extensive bookkeeping experience: journal entries, period-end closings, and reporting to tax authorities (Income Tax, Social Security, Pension Funds).
• Experience issuing invoices to international clients and working with foreign companies.
• Experience managing supplier payments and financial data entries, both locally and internationally.
• Proven track record in preparing and managing daily cash flow reports.
• Experience in managing and reconciling inventory within financial systems.
• Practical experience preparing salaries using "Shikulit" payroll software and submitting monthly and annual reports to tax authorities.
• Strong experience in handling international bank transfers and payment clearing.
• Native-level fluency in English — mandatory.
• Advanced proficiency in financial systems (ERP such as SAP), payroll systems (Shikulit), Microsoft Excel, and general Office tools.
