Vibe Coder

The Role

As Datasumi's Vibe Coder, you'll be the crucial bridge between our data engineering team and experience designers. You'll leverage TypeScript and Node.js to craft code that translates complex datasets into interfaces with personality, rhythm, and soul—making data feel accessible, engaging, and even delightful.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop responsive, accessible front-end experiences using TypeScript and React that make data visualization feel natural and intuitive
• Build robust, scalable back-end services with Node.js that handle complex data processing while maintaining performance
• Collaborate with our design team to translate data-driven visual concepts into seamless interactive experiences
• Fine-tune animations, transitions, and micro-interactions that enhance data comprehension and emotional connection
• Optimize loading sequences and state transitions for large datasets while maintaining a smooth, anxiety-free user experience
• Integrate visual and haptic feedback systems that help users intuitively understand data relationships
• Contribute to Datasumi's design system with components that maintain our signature blend of technical excellence and emotional intelligence
• Participate in our bi-weekly vibe review sessions where we collectively assess and refine the feel of our products
  
  

• 3+ years of professional experience with TypeScript and Node.js
• Strong understanding of React and state management solutions (Redux, Context API)
• Experience implementing D3.js or similar data visualization libraries
• Proven ability to implement complex animations and transitions that enhance data comprehension
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and how they integrate with data-heavy interfaces
• Experience with real-time data features and understanding how to present changing information without overwhelming users
• Ability to articulate how technical decisions influence the emotional qualities of data experiences
  
  

• Experience with Datasumi's tech stack: GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and AWS
• Background in data science, statistics, or information design
• Experience with WebGL, Three.js, or other technologies for immersive data visualization
• Understanding of color theory and typography as they relate to data comprehension and emotional response
• Knowledge of psychological principles related to information processing and cognitive load
• Previous work in fintech, healthcare, or other data-intensive industries
