Frontend Manager

As the Frontend Platform Team Leader, you will lead a talented team responsible for optimizing and scaling the company’s frontend development. Your team will own the CI/CD processes for frontend development across mono-repositories and poly-repositories, ensuring seamless developer experiences. Additionally, you will manage and evolve Cloudinary’s design system, empowering teams to deliver consistent, high-quality user interfaces efficiently.

Key Responsibilities - Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of senior engineers, fostering innovation and growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. UX, DevOps) on strategy and priorities.
• Champion best practices in frontend development, testing, and analytics.
• Build & CI/CD Ownership
• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines for mono-repos and poly-repos.
• Improve build tools and processes (e.g., Rspack, NX) for better performance and reliability.

Testing & Analytics

• Implement unit testing (e.g., Vitest, Jest) and end-to-end testing (Playwright).
• Define CI-integrated testing workflows and utilize tools for A/B testing and analytics (e.g., Split.io, Google Analytics).

Technical Expertise:

• Maintain and enhance frontend technologies (React, TypeScript).
• Optimize development environments for frontend engineers.
• Design System Ownership.
• Oversee Cloudinary’s design system to ensure a consistent user experience.
• Collaborate with design/product teams and drive adoption across the company.
• Strong understanding of modern CI/CD pipelines and workflows for frontend development.
• Proven a 3+ years experience leading engineering teams, with a focus on mentorship, collaboration, and driving technical excellence.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
