Physicist

Nova is looking for a Physicist with a broad expertise in multiple technologies, particularly in experimental ultra-fast optics, and a solid understanding of semiconductor process control and fabrication.

As a New-Tech Physicist, you will independently conduct concept and feasibility research, as well as collaborate with external partners. Your contributions will be crucial in identifying, evaluating, and integrating emerging technologies into Nova’s innovation pipeline.

What you will be doing:

• Lead and conduct early-stage research projects to explore and validate new technological concepts.
• Identify emerging industry needs and scout for disruptive technologies to address them.
• Influence strategic direction by bringing novel, high-impact ideas into Nova’s technology portfolio
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (including academia and industry) to drive feasibility studies and concept development.

Requirements

• Ph.D. (or M.Sc) in Physics or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience in experimental ultra-fast optics (e.g., femtosecond lasers, OPOs, pump-probe experiments).
• Proficiency in data analysis and algorithm development.
• Experience in optical and mechanical system design (an advantage).
• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and fab environments (an advantage).
