Research Assistant in Molecular Biology

The Mizrahi lab, a microbial eco-genomic team in Ben Gurion University, Israel, is looking to expand.

Our main research interest is to understand the ecological and evolutionary forces that shape microbial communities in nature and specifically, in gut environments.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Assistant to join our dynamic team and contribute to exciting, ongoing projects utilizing cutting-edge molecular techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in active research projects focused on molecular biology and anaerobic microbiology.
• Perform a range of standards molecular biology techniques, and in-house newly developed techniques
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive lab environment.

Qualifications:

• BSc or MSc degree in Biology or a related field.
• Prior hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques.
• Advantage in prior experience in microbiology and microscopy
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).
