Backend Team Lead - 50% Hands on

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Team Lead to join our team. Key Responsibilities

• Team Coordination: Oversee the backend team’s tasks, set clear objectives, and ensure timely delivery.
• Hands-On Development: Design, code, and review backend solutions, promoting best practices.
• Technical Leadership: Drive architecture, performance optimizations, and security standards in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Agile Collaboration: Work closely with project managers to align on sprint goals, manage the team’s Jira tasks, and integrate code into CI/CD pipelines.
• Product Partnership: Collaborate with product teams to clarify requirements and leverage data-driven insights for new features.
• Quality Assurance: Enforce coding standards, encourage test-driven development, and maintain system reliability.
• Problem-Solving: Serve as the go-to expert for complex technical challenges, continuously improving processes and solutions.

Qualifications

Experience:

• 5+ years of backend development in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.).
• 1+ years leading teams or as a technical lead.

Technical Skills:

• Solid SQL experience for data management and query optimization.
• Familiarity with microservices, CI/CD, and performance tuning.
• Ability to design and implement secure, scalable solutions.
