Position Overview:
The Yael Foundation is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR leader to establish and oversee our human resources function. This individual will play a crucial role in shaping our HR strategy, designing and implementing policies, and fostering a workplace culture that aligns with the Foundation’s mission and values.
The ideal candidate is an adaptable and strategic HR professional who thrives in building processes from the ground up, with a passion for creating a supportive and engaging work environment. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the Foundation’s growth by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices that align with the Foundation’s mission and goals.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts, including talent sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and retention strategies.
- Foster a positive and engaging workplace culture through employee engagement initiatives, performance management, and professional development programs.
- Provide strategic HR guidance to senior leadership on people-related matters, including organizational structure, workforce planning, and employee relations.
- Establish and manage HR systems, ensuring compliance with labor laws and industry best practices.
- Develop and oversee compensation, benefits, and employee recognition programs to enhance staff motivation and satisfaction.
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within the organization, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for all employees.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leadership, addressing concerns and resolving workplace issues in a fair and transparent manner.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in human resources, with a focus on recruitment, employee engagement, and organizational development.
- Proven track record of establishing HR functions and building people processes from the ground up.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance.
- Experience in nonprofit, education, or philanthropic organizations is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and strategically in a growing and dynamic organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
