Field Application and Customer Support Engineer – Robotics

K&S is a high-tech company based in Rehovot, specializing in the development and manufacturing of advanced solutions for nanotechnology-driven industries, such as semiconductor manufacturing. We are currently seeking a Field Application and Customer Support Engineer to join our growing team.

Position Summary

The Field Application and Customer Support Engineer (Robotics) is responsible for providing technical support, on-site assistance, and customer training for K&S systems and automation solutions. This role bridges the gap between engineering teams and end users, ensuring seamless deployment, operation, and optimization company solutions in the field. The engineer also plays a key role in troubleshooting, system integration, and feedback collection to inform product improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and commission K&S systems at customer sites
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs for hardware and software issues
• Train customers on system operation and maintenance.
• Customize application setups and conduct on-site system tuning and optimization.
• Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to resolve product issues and relay field feedback
• Document support cases, solutions, and recurring issues to enhance the support knowledge base
• Support pre-sales activities such as technical demos, proof-of-concept deployments, and system evaluations
• Travel regularly to customer sites (domestic and international) for installations and support

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in robotics field service, automation systems, or application engineering
• Strong knowledge of robotic systems, motion control, sensors, and system vision
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and mechanical schematics
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

·        English on high level – mandatory requirement. The interview will be partially in English.

• Willingness to travel abroad up to 30% of the time

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT.)
• Experience with programming environments such as ROS, Python, or C++
