Backup and Storage Expert

We are looking for an experienced and motivated IT Administrator to join our team, focusing on Storage and Data Protection environments. This role is part of the broader Servers team and also includes responsibilities related to server environment management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Dell storage, Data Domain systems, and the Networker backup platform.
• Perform daily monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of backup jobs across Oracle, SQL Server, Windows, VMware, and Linux environments.
• Monitor backup software performance and address job failures as needed.
• Support storage systems with activities such as vulnerability remediation, capacity and configuration management, and provisioning via SAN switches.
• Execute regular Disaster Recovery (DR) testing for data restoration and storage replication.
• Track and optimize storage usage and performance; provide growth planning insights.
• Ensure services meet agreed-upon performance and availability standards.
• Perform off-hours work when necessary (e.g., system upgrades, patching).
• Operate independently within established policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with storage and backup systems.
• Experience in BCP/DR planning, data recovery/restoration, and replication.
• Proficient in SAN switch administration (Brocade or Cisco).
• Solid understanding of VMware environments.
• Experience with IT security controls.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Advanced level).
