Project Manager - Chemicals and Additives

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced and highly organized Project Manager to lead and oversee the full lifecycle of a groundbreaking antimicrobial chemical material project — from development to scaling up for production and to commercial market launch. This manager will coordinate cross-functional teams including R&D, engineering, regulatory, manufacturing, marketing, and sales to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery of the product to market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Ownership: Take full ownership of the antimicrobial chemical material development project, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategic direction.
• Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle including R&D, prototyping, testing, regulatory approval, pilot production, scale-up, commercialization, and market launch.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead cross-departmental teams (chemists, engineers, marketers, sales, legal, etc.) ensuring clear communication, collaboration, and accountability.
• Timeline & Budget Control: Develop and maintain detailed project plans and budgets. Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Regulatory Compliance: Oversee the regulatory strategy for the chemical material, ensuring all documentation and processes meet industry and governmental requirements .
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the central point of contact for all stakeholders, providing regular updates, reporting, and strategic insights.
• Production Scale-Up: Work closely with manufacturing to ensure scalability, quality control, process validation, and cost-effectiveness.
• Market Readiness: Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to prepare for go-to-market strategy, pricing models, branding, and customer education.
• IP & Legal Oversight: Collaborate with legal teams to secure intellectual property protection, licensing, and any partnership agreements.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related technical field. PMP certification is a plus.
2. Minimum 10+ years of experience in project management, or product manager, preferably in chemical, materials, or industrial product sectors.
3. Demonstrated success managing cross-functional product development projects from concept through commercialization.
4. Strong knowledge of product development lifecycle, including formulation, testing, validation, and market launch.
5. Familiarity with regulatory environments affecting chemical/materials production and commercialization.
6. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
7. Proven ability to manage complex technical projects under tight deadlines.
