Responsibilities:
- Act as the Owner’s representative for all HSE matters, providing leadership and direction across the project.
- Review and approve the EPC contractor’s HSE plans, procedures, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Monitor and audit the EPC contractor’s HSE performance to ensure compliance with project-specific requirements, local regulations, and international standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Conduct regular HSE inspections and audits at site, issue non-conformance reports, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Participate in HSE meetings, toolbox talks, and incident investigation reviews.
- Interface with local authorities and regulatory bodies as required.
- Prepare and deliver HSE performance reports to the Owner’s Project Management Team.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Recognized HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, CSP, CMIOSH, OSHA certifications) required.
- 8-10 years of HSE experience in major construction projects, with at least 3 years in a leadership role on large-scale projects. Experience on power plant projects (CCPP, coal, solar, wind, etc.) is advantage.
- Strong knowledge of local labor laws, environmental regulations, and international HSE standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and drive a strong safety culture across all levels of project organization
- Experience working on EPC or Owner’s Engineer (OE) projects is highly preferred.
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and across cultures.
- Fluent in Hebrew and English
