Position Overview:

As a Senior Researcher at Clutch Security, you’ll play a critical role in advancing our expertise in Non-Human Identity Security - from understanding their technical characteristics and associated cyber threats to modeling behavior and designing effective detection and response mechanisms. You’ll help develop detection rules, behavioral models, and remediation strategies that enhance our platform’s ability to identify and mitigate identity-driven threats. Combining technical depth, curiosity, and an attacker’s mindset, you’ll continuously refine how we secure NHIs at scale. Beyond your technical contributions, you’ll shape Clutch’s thought leadership through research reports, publications, and industry-facing insights that position us at the forefront of the NHI security space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and analyze the behavior, lifecycle, and security implications of non-human identities across diverse environments.
• Design and refine detection rules, heuristics, and behavioral models to identify identity-driven threats.
• Develop effective response and remediation strategies to contain and reduce risk.
• Collaborate with data, product, and engineering teams to translate research into product features and contribute to internal threat intelligence and product roadmap.
• Monitor emerging threats, attacker techniques, and industry trends to ensure Clutch remains ahead of the curve.
• Drive thought leadership by authoring research reports and contributing to publications.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 4+ years in cybersecurity research, detection engineering, or threat hunting.
• Skills: Deep understanding of attacker TTPs, cloud environments, and identity systems.
• Tools: Familiar with SIEMs, detection pipelines, and scripting languages like Python.
• Mindset: Curiosity-driven with a strong sense of attacker emulation and defense strategy.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
