Financial Controller

Position Overview

Located in Petah Tikva, we are seeking an innovative, driven, and highly motivated candidate for the Financial Controller position. Reporting directly to the CEO in Israel and the CFO of the parent company in the United States, this position will be an integral member of the team.

Responsible for many aspects of the accounting group, this roll will be actively involved in the day-to-day activities in the areas of the general ledger, working capital, product costing, and inventory accounting while also being responsible for the financial reporting and financial analysis of the Company. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a small team environment, collaborating with the Company's senior management and have strong attention detail and self-organization.

Major Responsibilities

•              Prepare timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end and year-end financials.

•              Prepare financial forecast/updates and provide analyst of trends, key metrics, KPI's and variance drivers within the business.

•              Participate in weekly review meetings with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and US Parent Company.

•              Assist as needed in a variety of accounting tasks including A/R, A/P, and fixed asset oversight in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks.

•              Work in partnership with management and the external audit team to review the existing cost-accounting system including labor costs, material costs, manufacturing overhead, distribution cost and inventory levels. Make recommendations for improvement as needed.

•              Reconcile inventory and manufacturing costs monthly.

•              Prepare and oversee tax compliance including working with external consultants as needed to manage various tax filings.

•              Coordinate with external parties and auditors for interim and annual procedures, including preparation of deliverables to ensure timely completion of the audit processes.

•              Manage certain Human Resources processes, including the preparation of payroll and new hire employment agreements.

•              Oversee and coordinate the annual budgeting process.

•              Ensures compliance with the financial procedures of the organization.

•              Preparation of financial reports for authorities and the Ministry of Defense (MAFAT).

•              Spearhead, coordinate, and complete special projects as requested.

•              Other duties as assigned.

Requirements – Qualifications

•              Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting – required

•              Israeli accountant certified, preference for either US or English CPA as well

•              7-10 years of professional experience including 1-3 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience

•              Willing to work on-site 5-days a week

•              Experience in working with ERP; Priority ERP – preferred

•              Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel

•              Fluent in English & Hebrew – required

•              Understanding of manufacturing processes and drivers of financial results.

•              Outstanding organizational and project management skills with experience at managing multiple assignments simultaneously.

•              Possess strong interpersonal skills combined with passion, commitment, intellectual honesty, and humility. Good executive presence.

•              Detail orientation and strong analytical skills are a must. The individual must embody a philosophy to “do things right the first time” and question the norm.
