Staff Software Engineer, App Modernization with AI

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience leading ML design and optimizing ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
• Experience with modern LLMs and generative models.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• PhD with specification in ML or Large Language Models or related fields.
• Experience designing and working with Enterprise Mainframe applications and technology which includes: Mainframe and iSeries architecture, COBOL, JCL, Cics, RPG, DB2, IMS, and other MF technologies.
• Understanding and experience designing and architecting modern enterprise production systems for customers using AI.
• Ability to come up with creative solutions to problems.
• Ability to present and explain complex ideas/solutions to different audiences.

• Work with multiple AI teams in Google.
