The Role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our fast-moving R&D team. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize critical backend systems that power our cloud-native, high-scale security platform. You will build secure, scalable services that ingest, process, and analyze massive amounts of data in real-time.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a startup environment, loves solving hard engineering problems, and wants to help shape the technical foundation of a world-class product.

What You Will Do:

• Design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable backend systems.
• Build and maintain distributed data pipelines to ingest and process vast amounts of security telemetry in real time.
• Architect and evolve microservices within a modern cloud-native environment (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker).
• Optimize performance and reliability of critical systems under high-throughput conditions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend, product, and security teams to bring features from concept to production.
• Own your work end-to-end, from design to deployment, testing and monitoring.
• Contribute to a culture of engineering excellence, continuous learning, and rapid iteration.

What We’re Looking For

• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of backend development experience, ideally in fast-paced environments or startups.
• Strong Python skills experience with frameworks such as fast-api, sqlalchemy
• Solid experience with distributed systems, microservices, and high-throughput architectures.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (Lambda, ECS, S3, etc.).
• Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Passion for clean code, scalable architecture, and performance tuning.
• Startup mindset: you’re resourceful, self-motivated, and thrive on ownership and impact.
• A team player who enjoys working in a collaborative, high-energy environment.

• Kafka or other queue service
• Gremlin
• Opensearch
• GraphQL
• TypeScript
• REST API's
