Role Description: Head of Security Research (On-site | Tel Aviv District, Israel)

We’re looking for a Head of Security Research to lead and scale our world-class research team. In this critical role, you will shape our research strategy, drive innovation, and ensure we stay ahead of emerging threats. You’ll work hands-on to uncover vulnerabilities, influence product direction, support go-to-market efforts, and contribute to the broader security community.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of top-tier security researchers to identify, analyze, and mitigate advanced security threats.
• Spearhead deep technical research on cutting-edge technologies, identifying security gaps and driving industry best practices.
• Support strategic sales efforts by uncovering critical security issues in customer environments, helping win high-impact POCs and deals.
• Drive our thought leadership and marketing strategy by publishing groundbreaking research relevant to global enterprises and the security community.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Product, and Marketing, to integrate research insights into the product roadmap and company messaging.
• Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and industry trends to keep Mesh Security at the forefront of innovation.

What You Bring

• Proven track record in security research, with hands-on experience in both offensive and defensive security domains.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including managing and mentoring security research teams and leading complex research initiatives.
• Deep understanding of cloud security, IAM, identity management, authentication protocols, cloud access controls, and non-human identities.
• A curious, analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for exploring the unknown.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
