The position is located in Tel Aviv, Israel

What will you do at SuperPlay?:

• Lead the animation efforts for our games, ensuring high-quality, stylistically consistent animations that elevate gameplay and storytelling.
• Collaborate closely with the Art Director to establish and uphold animation styles and quality benchmarks.
• Create a wide range of animations, including character and creature animations, game asset, background, and UI animations in both 3D and 2D.
• Produce believable, high-quality animations and integrate them directly into the game.
• Support the animation pipeline by planning and delivering content that aligns with project needs and deadlines.
• Collaborate with 2D and 3D artists, technical artists, designers, and programmers to ensure animations meet performance specifications and adhere to technical budgets.
• Visualize future game features by contributing to gameplay prototyping, storyboarding, animatics, previs, blocking, and posing.
• Design animations that are optimized and scalable for long-term live-service games across a wide range of mobile devices.
• Oversee outsourced animation efforts, ensuring they align with SuperPlay’s quality and style.
• Actively participate in team discussions, critiques, and reviews, providing creative and technical guidance.
• Ensure all assets are completed on time, maintaining the desired quality bar.
  
  

• 3+ years of experience in animation within the gaming industry.
• Proven expertise in 3D character animation, Spine 2D animation, and UI animation, demonstrated through a versatile portfolio showcasing various art styles.
• Proficient in Maya and Spine, with strong knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Photoshop.
• Familiarity with casual and mobile game aesthetics, with experience optimizing animations for mobile platforms.
• Goal-oriented team player with a track record of meeting deadlines and milestones.
• Knowledge of Unity and experience integrating animations into game engines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive projects forward and find creative solutions to challenges.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience in organizing, mentoring, and motivating teams while balancing hands-on production work.
• Resourceful and adaptable, with a strong focus on maintaining SuperPlay’s quality standards.
• Up-to-date on industry trends and skilled at applying them creatively to enhance SuperPlay’s projects.
  
  

• Experience with rigging and skinning.
