Global Procurement Buyer – Technical Purchasing
A leading global company in the plastics manufacturing industry is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Buyer to join its dynamic global purchasing team. This role focuses on technical procurement for both local and international production facilities and offers significant opportunities for professional growth in a fast-paced, international environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the procurement of technical goods, including engineering equipment, machinery, spare parts, laboratory instruments, and other industrial components.
- Source suppliers both locally and internationally, request quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and finalize purchasing agreements.
- Manage legal contracts, letters of credit (LCs), and bank guarantees in collaboration with internal legal and finance teams.
- Analyze procurement data, identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement, and implement efficiency strategies.
- Working closely with the plant and maintenance managers globally and the engineering department
Requirements:
- 2–3 years minimum of experience in technical procurement within a manufacturing or process industry.
- Background in the plastics industry – an advantage.
- Strong technical understanding in areas such as machinery, electricity, or industrial maintenance.
- Academic degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration – an advantage.
- Strong negotiation skills, commercial acumen, and ability to manage complex procurement processes.
