Senior Backend Engineer – Cloud & Microse

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who thrives in building scalable, distributed systems using modern cloud infrastructure and microservices architecture. This is a high-impact role for a backend specialist with strong hands-on experience in Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, and Python, and a deep understanding of cloud-native development (GCP/AWS/Kubernetes) and event-driven systems.

You’ll play a key role in designing system architecture, optimizing performance, and mentoring engineers within a fast-paced Agile team. We are particularly interested in candidates who have previously led backend initiatives in data-intensive or ML-integrated environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, resilient backend systems using modern frameworks and tools (Node.js, NestJS, Python, MongoDB, BigQuery).
• Develop event-driven microservices and APIs in a cloud-native environment (GCP/Kubernetes/AWS).
• Lead backend architecture decisions and contribute to overall system design and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data science and DevOps, to deliver robust ML and data pipelines.
• Conduct performance tuning, stress testing, and monitoring to ensure optimal system performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code quality through reviews and best practices.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, including recent roles in senior-level positions.
• Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, and Python.
• Experience with MongoDB, SQL/BigQuery, and building RESTful and event-driven APIs.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP or AWS), Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to design and scale distributed systems and microservices.
• Familiarity with Agile development, code reviews, and technical mentoring.
• Bonus: Experience integrating ML pipelines or working in data-heavy environments.
