Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Irrigation Engineer to design, implement, and manage efficient irrigation systems for agricultural, landscape, or industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in hydraulic engineering, soil-water-plant relationships, and sustainable water resource management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design hydraulic and irrigation layouts based on site surveys, crop types, soil conditions, and climate data.
• Prepare technical drawings, bill of quantities (BOQ), specifications, and cost estimates.
• Supervise installation of irrigation systems, including pumps, valves, pipelines, control systems, and emitters.
• Conduct field visits for system inspection, calibration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Collaborate with agronomists, civil engineers, and project teams to ensure system compatibility and performance.
• Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or modifications to enhance water-use efficiency.
• Ensure all systems comply with local and international standards and regulations.
• Provide technical support and training to clients, contractors, and field staff.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in irrigation system design and implementation (drip, sprinkler, pivot, etc.).
• Proficiency in CAD software and hydraulic simulation tools.
• Knowledge of pump sizing, filtration systems, and automation/control systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with international agricultural projects.
• Familiarity with GIS, remote sensing, or smart irrigation technologies.
