Bookkeeper & Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage daily bookkeeping activities up to the trial balance, including:
• Supplier invoice processing.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Credit card statement handling.
• Payment processing.
• Assist with monthly and annual financial closings, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and process monthly payroll for all company employees.
• Maintain accurate employee attendance data and generate payroll-related reports.
• Submit and track statutory payments to Israeli authorities, including VAT, Bituach Leumi (National Insurance), and Income Tax.
• Conduct internal controls and reconciliations on payroll and accounting data.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and provide ongoing support.
• Ensure timely updates to the financial system and maintain up-to-date records.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience – mandatory.
• Payroll Certification - mandatory.
• High Proficiency in Excel - Must.
• Experience with "Michpal" software - Must.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High proficiency in English.
• Solid understanding of Israeli labor laws and payroll regulations – an advantage.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics – an advantage.
