What You’ll Be Doing
Based in the Christie’s Tel Aviv offices in Israel, working as part of the regional team, within the central Client Management group, the primary focus of the role is to provide enhanced client and excellent administrative support to the International Senior Director & MD, Israel as well as the office overall.
The role requires a strong interest in and curiosity of the International Art Market and the most important collectors and collections but ultimately and predominantly a highly efficient operator to ensure the myriad of tasks are managed effectively and efficiently.
What Your Day Might Look Like
- Provide excellent client service in all areas
- Assist the Managing Director in maintaining contact with key clients
- Ensure timely and accurate entry and analysis of key client data to generate business leads
- Take on project managing all vendor related aspects for key collections secured in Israel, for example liaison with lawyers on contracts, advisors on terms etc.
- Consignment management
- Event management
- Tracking and managing buying and selling activities reporting through the Tel Aviv office
- Assist with seller activities sale registration and compliance (e.g. KYC)
- Assist with buyer activities and registration internationally
- Valuation management
- Shipping assistance incoming and outgoing ensuring knowledge of rules and regulations
- Provide administrative support to the Managing Director with business travel
- In close co-ordination with the Managing Director, attend selected art related functions in Israel to ensure that Christie’s profile is maintained
- Assist in supervising book keeping/Finance responsibilities including liaison with the local accountant
- Keep track of consignment related expenses
- Deal with all matters relating to office suppliers and office space management
- Represent Christie’s in an appropriate manner, aiming to form new client relationships.
- Knowledge of and appreciation for art
- Fluent in spoken and written Hebrew and English
- Experience in dealing with clients on a face to face basis
- Ability to work independently on projects
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Experience in key areas of business including contracts, management accounts and marketing
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong administrative experience
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to function in a team enviroment
- Ability to manage workload and prioritise
- Fully conversant with Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook packages
- Excellent telephone manner and very strong client service skills
- Ability to work with discretion when dealing with highly confidential information
