Big Data Developer

A young and profitable startup in the Data Intelligence space, well-funded and already serving active clients, is developing a platform for analysts to extract deep insights from structured and unstructured raw data.

The system analyzes multi-dimensional data (time, location, context, content) using advanced machine learning and deep learning algorithms across domains such as NLP, computer vision, speech, and metadata.

The platform features a rich technological stack, including Spark-based infrastructure, Kafka, diverse databases (graph, columnar, NoSQL), GPU-based training and real-time inference, and a robust React-based application. It is currently used by intelligence sector clients, with plans to expand into the financial domain.

The company is based in central Israel, operates in a hybrid model with two work-from-home days per week, and has around 35 employees.

Role Overview:

Part of a team of five developers, reporting to the team lead.

Tech Stack: Scala, Spark, Kubernetes, AWS.

Qualifications:

• 5 years Experience in designing and developing large distributed system and microservices architecture
• 7 years Hands-on experience in Scala or other high-level languages.
• 7 years Hands-on experience working with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, flink
• Experience in databases - Elasticsearch, Cassandra, ClickHouse, Postgres or equivalent
• B.Sc. in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
