Job Description:

We're looking for a talented, hands-on communications engineer with a touch for reverse engineering of complex signals.

What you’ll do:

• Reverse-engineer wireless communication protocols (LTE, satellite, etc.), with a focus on OFDM waveform analysis
• Develop and validate demodulation/decoding pipelines in Python and C++
• Collaborate with algorithm, hardware, and RF teams to integrate your protocol insights into our navigation and sensing platform
• Build tools to ingest raw IQ streams, extract pilot/data symbols, and characterize link-level behaviors
• Prototype machine-learning–based classifiers for signal identification or channel estimation (ML experience a plus)

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of professional experience in wireless communications or DSP development
• Deep understanding of OFDM physical-layer structures (framing, pilot insertion, cyclic prefixes, I/Q sampling)
• Proficiency in Python and modern C++ for signal-processing and protocol analysis
• Hands-on experience with SDR platforms (e.g. LimeSDR, USRP) or equivalent RF test equipment
• Familiarity with machine-learning techniques applied to communications (e.g. classification, regression) is a strong plus
• Excellent problem-solving mindset, with ability to drive a reverse-engineering effort from raw captures to working decoders
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications, Computer Science, or related field

Nice to have:

• Experience with MATLAB, GNU Radio, or LabVIEW for rapid prototyping
• Background in satellite communications link budgets and channel modeling
• Prior work on standards-based (3GPP, DVB) or proprietary OFDM systems
