Director of Philanthropic Partnerships

Overview:

Start-Up Nation Central (SNC) is seeking a strategic and dynamic Director of Philanthropic Partnerships to lead its philanthropy efforts in Israel. Reporting directly to the Vice President, North America, who oversees SNC’s global fundraising strategy, the Director will play a key role in managing fundraising operations, team leadership, and donor communications. This position is central to ensuring seamless coordination and execution of all philanthropic activities, in close alignment with the organization’s international efforts.

Established in 2013 and headquartered in Tel Aviv, SNC is a nonprofit organization funded by philanthropy. We serve as a trusted bridge between Israeli tech and global stakeholders—including corporations, governments, investors, and philanthropists.

Key responsibilities:

Fundraising Operations & Strategy:

• Lead and coordinate fundraising workflow and operations in Israel in alignment with SNC’s global philanthropic strategy, under the guidance of the VP, North America.

Team Leadership:

• Manage and support the performance and development of the Israel-based philanthropy team, including the Grants & Operations Manager and the Start-Up Nation Leadership Circle Community Manager.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Serve as a key liaison between fundraising, investor relations, and international strategic partnerships. Coordinate closely with internal teams to support donor-investor overlap, events, and mutually beneficial engagements.

Donor Engagement & Stewardship:

• Host and manage visits to Israel for current and prospective donors, ensuring a high-quality experience that reflects SNC’s mission and work.

Project & Communication Management: Oversee the planning and execution of core development activities, including:

• Tracking and coordinating all donor communications (emails, meeting prep, follow-ups)
• Drafting and submitting proposals, reports, and concept documents for new initiatives
• Planning fundraising trips, including outreach, meeting logistics, and follow-up
• Collaborating with Legal and Finance teams on donor contracts, agreements, and budgets
• Working with the Marketing team to produce compelling, donor-oriented materials

Qualifications:

• Fluency in Hebrew and English, both written and spoken
• Minimum 5 years of experience in philanthropy, fundraising, or resource development, ideally in a nonprofit or international context- A must
• Deep commitment to Start-Up Nation Central’s mission and values
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing direct reports
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and relationships
• Experience working in a global, matrixed organization is an advantage
