Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Patent Paralegal – IDS Specialist located in Ramat Gan. The primary responsibility of this position is the preparation, review, and filing of Information Disclosure Statements (IDS) with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The IDS Specialist will work closely with attorneys and clients to ensure timely and accurate submission of IDS forms and supporting documents, maintain compliance with USPTO requirements, and manage related correspondence. Additional responsibilities include supporting patent prosecution, preparing legal documents, and assisting with patent portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and file IDS documents with the USPTO, ensuring compliance with all relevant rules and deadlines
- Track and manage IDS deadlines and related communications
- Coordinate with attorneys, inventors, and clients to collect and organize prior art references
- Maintain accurate records of all IDS submissions and supporting documentation
- Support patent prosecution activities, including preparing and filing other patent-related documents
- Assist with management of patent portfolios and legal document preparation
- Stay current with USPTO rules and best practices regarding IDS filings
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience of at least 2 years in preparing and filing IDS documents with the USPTO
- Proficiency in patent applications, patent preparation, and patent prosecution
- Strong knowledge of U.S. patent law, particularly as it relates to IDS requirements
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
- Previous experience in a legal or intellectual property environment is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
