Maintenance Manager

Position: Maintenance Manager at Sea Water Desalination Facility

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the plant’s maintenance department, including a team of approximately 20 technicians (mechanics and electricians).
• Establish and supervise daily maintenance routines, workforce planning, and employee onboarding and training.
• Manage external contractors and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance projects.
• Responsible for mechanical and electrical maintenance, including infrastructure, utilities, and energy systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement maintenance policies and procedures across the facility.
• Specify, evaluate, and procure new equipment and spare parts according to operational requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure high equipment availability and plant reliability.
• Full-time position (Monday–Friday), with availability to respond to urgent issues outside regular working hours (the facility operates 24/7/365).
• Member of the plant’s senior management team, reporting directly to the CEO.

Required Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing industrial maintenance operations, preferably in a utility, chemical, or water treatment environment, with direct supervision of at least 10 employees.
• Proven experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability engineering.
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring and developing technical teams.
• Good command of English – reading, writing, and speaking.
