Project Manager

One of our clients, a cutting-edge technology company developing AI-based autonomous systems, is looking to hire an R&D Project Manager. This company operates in a fast-paced, start-up environment and is known for its innovative approach to AI-driven mobility solutions.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing multidisciplinary R&D projects and ensuring their successful delivery on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards.

The R&D Project Manager will work closely with various internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project scope, requirements, timelines, and deliverables. This role requires a strong technical background in software or computer engineering, previous experience as a software team leader, and a proven track record in managing complex, end-to-end product development projects.

Responsibilities:

• Define and determine project scope and objectives
• Prepare detailed Statements of Work (SOWs)
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely project execution
• Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders to track progress and manage expectations
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Oversee project schedules, scopes, and budgets from planning through deployment
• Submit high-quality project deliverables to customers
• Prepare and present regular project status reports
• Manage change requests and communicate impact on timelines and budgets
• Support the preparation of training materials and user documentation
• Conduct post-project reviews to identify successes and improvement areas

Requirements:

• BSc. or MSc. in Software or Computer Engineering
• Proven experience as a software team leader
• Prior work experience in a start-up environment
• Demonstrated success managing full-cycle project delivery of a complex, deployed product
• Experience in multidisciplinary project management
• Familiarity with Gantt charts and agile development processes

This position is ideal for someone who has evolved from hands-on coding to team leadership and then into project management, bringing with them both technical acumen and strong leadership capabilities.
