About this role:

The Data-Apps team at Aidoc is seeking a versatile Principal Full-Stack Engineer to lead the development of high-impact products for both internal stakeholders and external users. As a central member of our Research department, you will take full ownership of our AI-driven solutions’ architecture, design, and evolution, driving organization-wide technical strategies.

This role demands a proven leader with deep expertise in the development of backend, frontend, and cloud infrastructure, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC). You will drive the entire development lifecycle—from conceptualization and system design to deployment and maintenance—ensuring our solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs.

You’ll work closely with AI researchers, data analysts, and medical researchers to develop solutions that maximize the impact of Aidoc’s AI technology.

This role is pivotal within Aidoc, offering the opportunity to shape our technological landscape while driving the future of AI in healthcare.

Responsibilities:

• Architectural Leadership: Define and drive organization-wide technical strategies that shape our AI products and ensure long-term scalability and robustness.
• Lead Full-Stack Project Development: Spearheaded a high-impact project, overseeing all technical stages from initial design to final deployment. This includes crafting user interfaces with modern frameworks and backend system architecture.
• Implement Web Applications: Utilize ReactJS and VueJS alongside HTML and CSS to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Develop Scalable Backend Systems: Build distributed, scalable backend solutions, optimizing for performance and reliability. Incorporate AWS cloud services, focusing on event-driven architecture for efficiency and scalability.
• Incorporate Best Practices: Champion code quality, CI/CD processes, and agile methodologies to enhance team excellence and product reliability.
• Strategic Collaboration and Influence: Engage with a diverse array of stakeholders, including users from different backgrounds, development teams, product managers, and project managers. Tailor development efforts to meet a wide range of user needs and business objectives, leveraging your technical expertise to influence product direction and strategy effectively.
• Cost-Effective Design and Development: Strategize development and infrastructure design with an emphasis on cost efficiency, understanding the pricing and operational costs, and planning for sustainable growth.
  
  

• BA/BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in full-stack development, with a proven track record in leading high-impact projects.
• Proven expertise in both frontend (ReactJS, VueJS, HTML, CSS) and backend development (JavaScript, Python/NodeJS) with a history of leading distributed, large-scale projects.
• Demonstrated experience with AWS cloud services, event-driven architecture, serverless architectures, and Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK).
• Strong knowledge of designing RESTful APIs, relational/non-relational databases, and schema design.
• Proficiency in agile methodologies, CI/CD pipeline design, and git workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and professional proficiency in English.
• Experience working in healthcare or familiarity with medical data standards (DICOM, HL7, FHIR…), experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and regulatory frameworks (e.g., HIPAA compliance) is an advantage.
