Senior Android Developer

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Android Developer to join our mobile team and play a key role in modernizing and scaling our Android application. Originally developed in Java using Android Views, we are currently transitioning to Kotlin, leveraging modern frameworks such as Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and Flows. This is a great opportunity to contribute to both legacy code refactoring and the development of new, cutting-edge features.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications.

• Refactor legacy Java/Android Views code to Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.

• Implement asynchronous flows using Coroutines and Flow.

• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver scalable and robust mobile features.

• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices and team growth.

Requirements (Must-Have):

• 5+ years of Android development experience.

• Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin.

• In-depth experience with Coroutines and Flow for asynchronous programming.

• Solid understanding of core Android components and lifecycle management:

• Activity

• Fragment

• Services (both background and foreground).

• Practical experience building UIs using both Android Views and Jetpack Compose.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with the DJI SDK or other drone-related APIs.

• Experience with performance optimization and memory management on Android.

• CI/CD pipeline experience for mobile.

• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
