Data Engineer

Description

We are scaling our AI team with mission-driven individuals eager to shape the future of mobility. As a Data Engineer, you’ll collaborate closely with our research team to design, build, and optimize data infrastructure and annotation workflows. You will oversee the annotation team, ensuring high-quality labeled data and efficient processes. Additionally, you will help optimize our algorithms, analyze performance metrics, and define optimal operating points to enhance model effectiveness. Your work will directly contribute to pushing the boundaries of Vision AI and advancing our cutting-edge projects.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate model performance with the research team using precision, recall, and other ML metrics.
• Build and maintain cloud-based data infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
• Develop benchmarking frameworks and human-in-the-loop pipelines for model evaluation.
• Curate and manage datasets using queries, annotation tools, and auto-labeling processes.
• Oversee the annotation team to ensure high-quality labeled data.
• Maintain internal research databases for data-driven insights.
• Run deep learning models and algorithms at scale.
  
  

Requirements

Technical skills & qualifications

• BSc in Computer Science with 3–5 years of experience.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including machine provisioning for development and multi-GPU environments.
• Strong foundation in machine learning concepts and model evaluation techniques.
• Skilled in database management (SQL, NoSQL) and large-scale data processing.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and pipeline development.
• Familiar with data annotation workflows and team management.
• Experience using data engineering and analytics tools such as Databricks, Spark, or similar platforms.
