• The job holder is responsible for physically executing the various individual functions to cover the overall cargo activities during the shift
• Ensure compliance with the company, regulatory manuals/standards related to safety, security and operational procedures while discharging the duties
• Perform the required cargo operational activities based on the Customer airline cargo load plans produced during the shift ensuring that special requirements are fulfilled and escalate situations requiring resolution to the Cargo Supervisor/Manager to ensure minimal or nil disruption
• Execute all cargo operational activities in individual areas within the shift such as
• Acceptance of cargo includes weighing, measuring and co-ordinate security screening activities.
• Accept AWB including MAWB/HAWB where appropriate and relevant data is stored and retrieved as required
• Cargo build-up plan as provided by customer airline is executed and final manifest prepared
• Correct build-up of ULDs/bulk loads, provision of such information to Load control to ensure flight safety/contribution to the safe on-time departure of flights
• Breakdown of cargo in co-ordination with Customs and its appropriate storage
• Processing of import documentation including notification to customers and follow-up
• Delivery of cargo/documents to the customers as per Customs directives
• Communication protocols related to customer airlines, regulatory authorities and other stakeholders are followed in case of flight/shipment related information
• Warehouse inventory at specified intervals, and identification/follow up of discrepancies at shift level
• Proper storage, upkeep and retrieval of ULDs according to procedures through liaison with tractor equipment operators
• Fulfil commitments as agreed with customer airlines and escalate issues to Cargo Supervisor in case they are unable to be performed as per the agreed standards
• Ensure teamwork with other team members during the shift to ensure safe, secure, efficient and effective performance of the shift
• Attend appropriate training programs when nominated and ensure the training requirements are fully met
• Step in for Cargo Supervisor where required and perform those functions during his absence
  
  

• Must have bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
• Minimum 3 years of proven work experience.
• Familiarity with aviation industry regulations and standards (CAA, IATA, ICAO, etc.) is a plus point.
• Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Fluent in English, Dari/Pashto – written and spoken
• Computer skills: MS office packages.
• Familiarity with Cargo softwares is preferable.
• Completion of relevant air cargo training courses would be an added advantage
