Cell Testing Team Leader - NOT SW and NOT QA

As the Cell Testing Team Leader, you will -

• Be responsible for managing a team dedicated to testing Li-Ion battery cells for R&D experiments.
• Manage cycling processes, ensure quality control, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Report directly to the Director of Engineering.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Management – Plan and allocate tasks, train and mentor team members, and develop their technical skills.
• Battery Cell Testing – Supervise and manage cell test processes, ensuring compliance with established protocols, working closely with researchers.
• Quality Control – Oversee the cells quality control, insuring up to specification, working closely with researchers and production.
• Process Optimization & Efficiency Enhancement – Collaborate with engineers and researchers to optimize testing procedures.
• Workplace – Maintain a well-organized, safe, and efficient work environment.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

• Practical Engineer or Engineer in a technical field, preferably electronics.
• At least 5 years of experience working in a laboratory.
• At least 3 years of experience in leading a technical team.
• Strong analytical attitude and familiarity with testing processes.
• Experience working with Li-ion cells – advantage.
• Knowledge of data analysis and statistics – advantage.
• Previous experience in a startup or industrial company – advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate others.
