VMware System Specialist (from Large Enterprise Experience) - Join Our Infrastructure Team!

Are you an experienced System Specialist with a strong background in VMware and large enterprise environments?

A leading central and significant organization in Ra'anana, Israel, is looking for a talented System Specialist to join their senior infrastructure team during an exciting migration to Nimbus cloud infrastructure.

In this role, you'll be a key player in maintaining and enhancing our critical IT infrastructure. This is a hybrid position based in Ra'anana, with occasional travel to Jerusalem and Tel Aviv as needed.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing and maintaining VMware virtualization environments in a large-scale setting (hundreds of servers).
• Working extensively with Microsoft Infrastructure services (AD, GPO, DNS, ADFS, SCCM, DHCP).
• Contributing to our cloud migration journey on AWS/GCP.
• Utilizing your expertise in LINUX SYSOPS infrastructure (Ubuntu preferred).
• Managing and troubleshooting SAN Storage (HP and NETAPP).
• Tackling complex system troubleshooting challenges.
• Working with backup and recovery solutions (VEEAM, COMVAULT).
• Leveraging your scripting skills in PowerShell, BASH, and PYTHON.
• Maintaining and understanding server hardware (HP, LENOVO firmware).
• Collaborating effectively within a senior infrastructure team.

What you'll bring:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a System Specialist in large organizations.
• Deep understanding of VMware virtualization technologies.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Infrastructure services.
• Familiarity with AWS and/or GCP cloud environments.
• Solid knowledge of LINUX SYSOPS (Ubuntu is a plus).
• Experience with SAN Storage solutions (HP, NETAPP).
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for complex issues.
• Experience with backup systems (VEEAM, COMVAULT).
• Strong scripting abilities in PowerShell, BASH, and/or PYTHON.
• Good understanding of server hardware and firmware.
• High level of English proficiency.
• Strong personal responsibility, teamwork, and independent work management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and a proactive, "can-do" attitude.
