A well-funded startup is seeking a highly experienced DevOps Architect to build their next-generation infrastructure from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to define best practices, shape our technical vision, and make a significant impact on a company poised for explosive growth.
The Challenge
You'll be the first dedicated DevOps professional, establishing a robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure to support their ambitious goals. This is a hands-on, leadership role requiring deep technical expertise, a proactive approach, and a passion for innovation.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a best-in-class DevOps strategy, aligning with industry best practices.
- Architect and maintain a highly available, globally scalable cloud-based infrastructure.
- Empower engineering teams with best-in-class monitoring, logging, and tracing capabilities.
- Enhance developer velocity by providing robust, on-demand development and testing environments.
- Embed security best practices throughout our infrastructure and deployment processes.
- 6+ years of experience building and maintaining highly scalable, cloud-based production systems (AWS experience essential).
- Deep expertise in CI/CD pipelines, IaC (e.g., Terraform, GitOps), and containerization (Kubernetes a plus).
- Mastery of observability, alerting, and incident response tools and strategies.
- Proven leadership skills in setting DevOps strategy and executing a roadmap.
- Ability to make pragmatic, cost-effective decisions in a dynamic startup environment.
