Head of R&D

About Us:

DataWave LTD is an AD-Tech startup specializing in digital advertising and media. We run large-scale, data-driven ad campaigns using cutting-edge technologies like cloud computing, AI, and advanced algorithms.

We’re looking for a Head of R&D with startup experience to take full ownership of our technology, design scalable systems, manage a small team, and build the foundation for future growth. You’ll start by managing one developer and will be responsible for expanding and leading the R&D team over time.

• Hands-On Development: Code, debug, and design system architecture daily.
• Scalable Tech Solutions: Build and implement advanced, high-scale infrastructure.
• Cloud & DevOps: Develop and maintain cloud-based architectures.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor an initial developer, with responsibility for building and scaling the full R&D team.
• Product & Tech Growth: Optimize our media and advertising technologies.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with leadership to align tech with business goals.

• 7+ years of hands-on development experience.
• Proven startup experience – ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Leadership and mentoring skills, including management of a developer and building a team.
• Strong technical expertise: Node.js, TypeScript, Nest.js, cloud technologies, DevOps.
• Experience with scalable architecture design.
• Advertising/Media experience – a strong advantage.
• High-level English proficiency.
