R&D Lab Team Manager in Valve Medical

Valve Medical is a sister company to Medinol, and a fast-paced agile start-up medical device company with innovative technology in the cardiac field.

We are looking for R&D Lab team manager.

In this role, you will be leading lab activities (including Lab engineers) and collaborate with the different functions of the company as well as external labs to meet company milestones. Reporting to company’s VP R&D.

Essential duties and responsibilities

· Manage and lead the technical activities associated with products during R&D phase and V&V testing.

· Manage and lead the implant hydrodynamics, fatigue, & durability testing.

· Develop and maintain Simulated Use anatomy models and additional lab fixtures.

· Assume responsibility for mechanical tests, including development of test methods

· Maintain and lead lab maintenance activities in relation to testing equipment (including equipment validation).

· In charge of reviewing and analyzing test results and for final report generation.

· Lead a team of Lab engineers.

· Connect with external suppliers for lab fixtures design and production and execution of tests.

Basic Qualifications

· Education- Bachelor’s degree at mechanical/materials/biomedical engineering at minimum

· 5-7 years of relevant work-related experience required (Management experience – an advantage)

· Must have – experience in the medical device field (preferred in the cardiology field)

Preferred Knowledge, Languages, Skills and Abilities

· Strong mechanical thinking (fluid dynamics – an advantage)

· Skilled with SolidWorks and mechanical design for lab purposes – must

• Skilled with ANSYS – an advantage

· Skilled with statistical software’s (Minitab, Excel, etc.)

· Familiar with LabView – an advantage

· Ability to work in agile mode as well as under GMP environment

· Languages: English – Proficient; Hebrew - Fluent

· Skills: Team player, responsible, creative, organized, able to work in a dynamic environment
