Algorithm Engineer

A successful global Start-Up company developing advanced high-speed communication chips used by major data centers.

The company is looking for an Algorithm Engineer specializing in DSP Optical Communication Algorithms to join their R&D group, responsible for developing the next generation of coherent optical transceivers for DCI at data rates of 800Gbps and 1600Gbps.

The company is located in Ramat Gan, near the train station, and operates in a hybrid model with two work-from-home days per week. The company currently employs around 80 people.

As part of the role:

• Development, design, simulation, and optimization of algorithms.
• DSP architecture planning and simulation, defining capabilities, performance requirements, and drive specifications for analog, digital, and firmware designers.
• Development and simulation of DSP algorithms and behavioral models for optical channels and optical-electrical transceivers, including analog components (ADC/DAC).
• Collaboration with various development teams including Analog, System, VLSI, Design Verification, and Firmware teams.

Requirements-

• 5 years or more of hands-on experience and a well proven record of modem algorithms development (Clock Recovery, Equalization, Phase Recovery, and tracking) for Single Carrier modulation and demodulation.
• Fixed point design and programming in MATLAB and C
• Very good understanding of System and HW implementation restrictions (from MATLAB to RTL)
