Head of Engineering

Nagish is looking for an exceptional Head of Engineering to serve as the company’s primary technical leader in Israel, effectively acting as an extension of our CTO. This pivotal role blends hands-on engineering expertise with strategic leadership, requiring an individual who can elevate our technology landscape and drive transformative growth across our engineering functions. This is an opportunity to join a well-rounded team that thrives on innovation, collaboration, and making a meaningful impact on our users’ experiences.

On a day to day, you will:

• Lead all technical operations at Nagish’s Tel Aviv office, managing and mentoring multiple engineering teams to achieve high performance and delivery excellence.
• Act as a bridge between the Tel Aviv engineering teams and the global executive team, ensuring alignment on technical strategy and project goals.
• Collaborate closely with the CTO, CEO, product, marketing, and engineering teams to develop and deliver innovative, high-quality software solutions.
• Lead by fostering open communication, making bold decisions, and inspiring a culture of innovation and continuous learning. You will guide your teams to uphold reliability, delivering products that make a meaningful impact and drive Nagish’s mission forward.
• Write, test, and maintain scalable, reliable code across the technology stack, taking ownership of projects that require both breadth and depth of technical knowledge.
• Drive the full software development lifecycle, from ideation and research to deployment and ongoing support in production.
• Conceptualize, propose, and execute strategic improvements that overcome complex engineering challenges, optimizing both process and performance.
• Present ideas and technical updates clearly to team members, stakeholders, and executive-level decision-makers.
• Oversee diverse projects involving mobile, backend, devops, and telephony, ensuring seamless integration and top-tier user experiences across web and mobile platforms.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of proven experience as a software engineer, with a track record of delivering high-impact projects and products.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing engineering teams, emphasizing open communication, and continuous learning. 
• A passion for building and scaling products that prioritize performance, accessibility, and robust architecture.
• Strong problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of engineering principles, and a keen eye for detail.
• Full-stack proficiency with expertise spanning mobile, backend, and frontend development.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams through technical and strategic roadmaps.

Bonus (but not a must) - Experience with:

• Golang, TypeScript, React Native
