About the Position

We are looking for an Experienced Data Engineer to join our fast-growing R&D team at Alison.ai. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building our data infrastructure. This pivotal role contributes directly to Alison.ai’s growth by uncovering new data sources that help expand our customer base. In addition, you'll help develop internal tools that automate key business processes, such as client onboarding and day-to-day operations, enabling teams across the company to move faster and smarter.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, constructing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures.
• Delivering detailed features to customers and contributing to a high-standard, innovative product.
• Establishing strong quality infrastructure to ensure the high standards we aim for.
• Influencing platform design and feature decisions.
• Ensuring the reliability and efficiency of data pipelines and developing tools to monitor and maintain data quality.
• Continuously improving data engineering practices and processes to enhance productivity and quality.
• Thinking creatively and outside the box when facing challenges and defining solutions, while combining quality and speed.

What we're looking for:

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, including building, running, testing, and monitoring data pipelines.
• Proficient coding skills in Python.
• Excellent SQL skills with the ability to improve readability and performance.
• Experience with GCP cloud services.
• Ability to diagnose and fix issues while enhancing code readability and application reliability.
• Team player, self-starter, and proactive.
• Familiarity with some of these tools: Airflow, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Rivery, Fivetran, PubSub.
