Fraud Data Scientist

Checkout.com is looking for a Data Scientist to work on Fraud Machine Learning and Data Analysis, you'll develop and implement machine learning models to detect and prevent fraud, analyze complex data sets for patterns, and collaborate with teams to enhance fraud detection systems. You'll stay updated on emerging threats, ensure data integrity and compliance, and communicate insights to stakeholders to support informed decision-making.

You will work closely with other Data Scientists leveraging cutting-edge technology and data insights. You will also collaborate regularly with other teams and cross-functional stakeholders to establish priorities and drive merchant frauds down.

What you will be doing:

• Develop ML models to detect fraud
• Conduct deep-dive exploratory data analysis to uncover insights and anomalies
• Conduct experiments and A/B tests to improve performance and reduce fraud
• Develop cutting-edge automation tools aimed at monitoring and optimizing merchants’ performance.
• Implement robust measurements to assess how proposed solutions impact merchants' performance and revenue, providing valuable insights for both internal and external ROI.
• Collaborate with various teams across the company to ensure an outstanding merchant experience and feed requirements for product development
  
  

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as Data Scientist in a data-intensive environment, working with large & diversified data sets, in production environment
• SQL/ Python knowledge to extract & analyze large data from our Data Warehouse
• Machine Learning model experiment: creation & implementation
• Good communication skills
• Challenge processes & decisions to make it better for everyone
• Curious
• Ability to take initiative and work autonomously
• Data driven, you clearly define success metrics and measure progress against them
• Flexible, adaptable and has a willingness to learn
• Good knowledge of today’s major e-commerce and payments technologies and trends is a plus
• Experience with Git & Spark, Databricks, Retool, APIs, knowledge of the Payment Industry is a plus

Hybrid Working Model: All of our offices globally are onsite 3 times per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). We’ve worked towards enabling teams to work collaboratively in the same space, while also being able to partner with colleagues globally.
