Operator Technician (Sterility & Cleaning Processes)

GreenOnyx is An innovative Ag-tech/Food-tech startup specializing in the indoor sterile growth of the Wolffia vegetable is seeking a hands-on Operator Technician.

This is a physically demanding operational role that requires active involvement in the setup, operation, and maintenance of cultivation systems in a strictly sterile environment. The position involves meticulous monitoring of growth parameters, adherence to strict sterility protocols, and precise execution of cultivation tasks to ensure optimal yield and product quality.

Responsibilities:

Sterile Cultivation:

• Execute and maintain sterile cultivation protocols throughout the Wolffia growth cycle.
• Monitor and control environmental parameters (temperature, humidity, light, nutrient solutions) within the sterile cultivation chambers.
• Ensure strict adherence to sanitation and hygiene procedures to prevent contamination.
• Prepare and sterilize growth media and cultivation equipment.

Growth Monitoring and operation:

• Perform precise activities and adjustments based on growth stage and environmental conditions.
• Perform daily and weekly routines to support operations objectives and tasks
• Conduct regular sampling and analysis of Wolffia cultures to ensure quality and purity.
• Perform delicate handling and transfer of Wolffia cultures within the sterile environment.

Automated System Operation:

• Operate and monitor automated systems controlling environmental parameters and nutrient delivery.
• Troubleshoot and report any malfunctions in automated systems.

Data Recording and Analysis:

• Accurately record detailed data on Wolffia growth, environmental parameters, and nutrient solution composition.
• Maintain meticulous records of all cultivation activities.

Quality Control and Harvesting:

• Ensure Wolffia meets strict quality standards for purity, nutrient content, and appearance.
• Perform precise and sterile harvesting of Wolffia according to established protocols.
• Prepare harvested Wolffia for packaging or further processing.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures within the sterile cultivation environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Comply with all company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise protocols.
• Excellent aseptic technique and understanding of sterile environments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in sterile cultivation, pharma environment, or related laboratory work.
• Experience with automated environmental control systems.
• Experience in a food production or controlled environment agriculture setting.

Skills:
