Monitoring Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Monitoring Specialist to join our IT Operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with monitoring tools and will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of various systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor IT Infrastructure: Use various monitoring tools to continuously monitor the health and performance of network, servers, and applications.
• System Configuration: Configure and maintain monitoring tools to ensure accurate reporting and alerting.
• Incident Management: Respond to alerts and incidents promptly, performing initial troubleshooting and escalating issues as necessary.
• Performance Analysis: Analyze system performance data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
• Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation on monitoring configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to ensure comprehensive monitoring coverage and effective incident resolution.
• Reporting: Generate and distribute regular reports on system performance and uptime.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience with SolarWinds – A must
• Minimum 2 years of experience with AppDynamics/Dynatrace/equivalent tools – A must
• Experience with Control-M is an advantage.
• Experience with other monitoring tools is a significant advantage.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in configuring and managing monitoring tools
• Familiarity with application performance monitoring tools.
• Basic understanding of job scheduling and workflow automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret and analyze complex data.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Certifications:

- SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP)

- AppDynamics Certified Implementation Professional

- Control-M Certification
