Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Developer to join our team and take charge of the development and enhancement of our Foreign Exchange (FX) platform. As a Lead Developer, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers, architecting complex systems, and driving innovation within the platform. Your technical expertise and leadership will be essential to the ongoing success and evolution of our platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Development Teams: Manage, mentor, and guide a team of developers in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our FX platform. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.

• Platform Architecture: Oversee the technical architecture of the FX platform, ensuring that it meets both current and future business needs. Make key decisions related to system design, frameworks, and technologies.

• End-to-End Development: Lead the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from initial concept and design through to deployment and support. Ensure adherence to best practices and high coding standards.

• Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of the FX platform, with a strong focus on low-latency processing and high-availability systems.

• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, business analysts, and other technical teams to understand requirements and deliver features that meet user needs and business goals.

• Technology Stack Evolution: Stay up to date with the latest developments and modern software development technologies. Proactively suggest and implement improvements to the technology stack.

• Code Quality and Best Practices: Ensure code reviews, testing, and continuous integration practices are followed. Promote and enforce best practices for code quality, security, and maintainability.

• Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Address complex technical challenges related to FX transactions, trading systems, and real-time data processing. Provide solutions and guide the team through issues.

• Compliance and Security: Ensure the platform meets regulatory standards and incorporates strong security practices in all areas of development, especially in terms of financial data processing and user privacy.

Key Requirements

Experience and Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in software development
• Experience working in the FX market is desirable.
• 3+ years of experience in a management role.

Technical Skills & Expertise:

• Extensive experience with the architecture and development of high-performance, low-latency, and scalable platforms.
• Strong knowledge of FX trading systems, market data feeds, and financial instrument is desirable.
• Proficient in a range of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript) and frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js).
• Proficiency in Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
• Deep understanding of algorithmic trading, quantitative analysis, and high-frequency trading (HFT) systems.
• Expertise in data security, encryption, and building secure, compliant financial systems.
• Familiarity with the regulatory landscape for FX trading and financial institutions is desirable.

• Strong management skills with a proven track record of managing high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• A strategic thinker with the ability to align technical decisions with business goals.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Frequent international travel is required.
