VP R&D Founding Team- Hands-on

Key Responsibilities

• Lead product development: Drive the execution of AI-based product features and enhancements, with a focus on delivering measurable business value.

• Rapid Execution: Lead an agile development cycle with a focus on delivering tangible product improvements in biweekly (or monthly) cycles.

• Direct technical execution: Stay close to the codebase; oversee technical architecture and ensure high-quality development standards.

• Attract and Lead a World-Class Team: Recruit and lead a high-performance R&D team, fostering a culture of rapid innovation and accountability.

• Operational Excellence: Establish and maintain development best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and rapid deployment cycles.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, data science, and customer success teams to align technical execution with business goals.

• AI Model Performance: Ensure AI models are optimized for accuracy and performance, particularly in identifying and correcting misaligned risk segments.

• Security and Compliance: Oversee the secure development and deployment of the platform within customer environments, ensuring alignment with SOC 2, GDPR, and ISO 27001 standards.

• Technical Ownership: Drive innovation and execution using the current technology stack, including NodeJS, , ReactJS, NoSQL, Docker, AWS

Requirements

• Proven experience leading R&D teams in a high-growth startup or fast-paced environment.

• Background in machine learning, algorithm development, and data-driven product innovation.

• Proven experience deploying secure AI solutions in compliance with SOC 2, GDPR, and ISO 27001 standards.

• High execution focus – able to drive projects from concept to delivery quickly and efficiently, balancing speed with quality.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills – capable of leading a high-caliber technical team.

• Experience leading AI development in a B2B SaaS or financial services environment is highly preferred.
