Financial Controller

One of our clients is looking to hire a Controller for a maternity leave replacement position (approximately 10 months, immediate start). The company is a growing Digital Health start-up operating globally in the high-tech SaaS sector.

In this role, you'll manage accounting operations, prepare financial reports and tax returns, oversee revenue recognition and customer invoicing, and lead payroll and budgeting processes. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, bookkeepers, and financial service providers.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare consolidated financial reporting packages (P&L, Balance Sheets, Cash Flows, Budget vs. Actual, burn-rate).
• Manage the full revenue cycle: recognition, invoicing, collections, and revenue metrics.
• Handle corporate tax returns and financial statements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and vendors.
• Implement and optimize bookkeeping and automation tools (e.g., Priority).
• Prepare government-related financial reports (e.g., IIA/OCS).
• Support operational planning processes.

Requirements:

• 3+ years in a “Big Four” accounting firm.
• 2+ years of experience in a start-up – must.
• SaaS/high-tech industry background – must.
• CPA certified with B.A in Accounting.
• Experience with Priority – strong advantage.
• Strong English and multitasking skills.

This position reports to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
