Project Manager

We're Hiring: R&D Project Manager – Leading Critical National-Tech Programs

A leading defense-tech company specializing in command & control systems, homeland security, and intelligence solutions is looking for a Project Manager to lead end-to-end development projects that directly support national security.

What you’ll be doing:

• Manage classified, cross-functional development projects from concept to delivery
• Translate client needs into actionable development and product plans
• Define work plans, write functional specifications, and lead system reviews and experiments
• Oversee project budgets, schedules (Gantt planning), milestones, and delivery across engineering, R&D, and operations teams
• Serve as a key point of contact for high-level defense clients and decision-makers
• Drive customer-facing presentations and communicate complex system capabilities with clarity and confidence

What we’re looking for:

• Academic background in Software Engineering / Computer Science / Information Systems
• 4+ years of experience managing multi-disciplinary software development projects
• Proven ability to lead development teams in a matrixed environment
• Hands-on experience with project budgeting, bottleneck identification, and long-term planning
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with project planning tools
• Strong written and spoken English (required for writing specs and presenting to stakeholders)
• Experience working directly with clients: need discovery, requirement definition, spec writing
• Advantage: Experience with Agile or Lean methodologies
