We’re seeking a highly motivated and experienced VP R&D to lead and mentor diverse engineering teams, drive complex product development, and integrate advanced AI capabilities into our platform. This is a leadership role where you will play a key part in shaping the future of yad2’s products and services, impacting millions of users every day.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Lead and mentor multiple cross-functional full-stack and Native teams, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with business goals.
• Collaborate with product and architecture leaders to guide the technical direction and successfully deliver on the product roadmap.
• Champion the integration of cutting-edge AI technologies, such as LLMs, Conversational AI, Generative AI, and intelligent recommendation systems, into our platform.
• Encourage the adoption of AI-assisted development tools like Cursor AI to enhance development efficiency, streamline debugging, and improve collaboration.
• Oversee the design and review of architecture plans, solution specifications, and feasibility assessments, ensuring best-in-class implementations.
• Foster cross-team collaboration with development, UX, QA, DevOps, and data science teams to drive innovation and product quality.
• Manage project delivery using agile methodologies, ensuring iterative planning and high-quality execution (Jira, Confluence).
• Actively manage risks, timelines, and stakeholder communications, ensuring smooth project execution.
• Build a culture of continuous improvement, clean code, and innovation.

Your Skills and Experience:

• 8–10+ years of industry experience, including at least 3 years in an R&D leadership role (e.g., VP, Director, or similar).
• Hands-on experience in developing large-scale web applications using Node.js, React.js, TypeScript, and modern cloud-based architecture.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, API design, CI/CD, and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Extensive experience with AI/ML tools (e.g., OpenAI, Vertex AI, LangChain, recommendation engines).
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB is a must.
• Experience with AI coding assistants like Cursor AI or similar tools is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with a proactive approach.
• Familiarity with agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and tools like Jira, Confluence, Git, and CI platforms (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Elasticsearch, Kafka, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Helm).
• Prior experience in high-scale B2C platforms.
• A passion for creating products that reach and delight millions of users.
