DevOps Engineer (FinOps & Security Focused)

About The Role

We are looking for a DevOps Specialist with focus on FinOps and Security to join our dynamic and innovative startup. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing cloud financial operations, ensuring cost efficiency, and implementing best practices for cloud spending. You will collaborate with engineering, finance, and operations teams to monitor cloud usage, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive financial accountability across the organization. Additionally, you will work with advanced security tools such as AWS Security Hub, Nessus, and Amazon GuardDuty to detect vulnerabilities, address threats in real time, and ensure compliance with industry security standards. Your role will involve staying up to date with evolving security best practices while proactively mitigating risks to protect the organization’s cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud costs across multiple cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, OCI).
• Develop and implement cost allocation strategies, tagging policies, and financial reporting structures.
• Work closely with finance and engineering teams to improve forecasting, budgeting, and cloud cost governance.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities by analyzing cloud usage patterns and recommending optimization strategies.
• Implement and manage security monitoring tools and systems (AWS Security Hub, AWS GuardDuty, AWS Inspector etc)
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans of cloud infrastructure.
• Respond to security incidents and breaches, coordinating with relevant teams to contain and remediate threats.
• Enforce security best practices and compliance with industry standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO).
  
  

• 4+ years of experience as DevOps engineer.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing (AWS, Azure, OCI) and Kubernetes
  
  

• Experience in FinOps, Cloud Cost Optimization, Cloud Finance, and best practices.
• Experience in Cloud Security, SRE, NOC.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security Specialist, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
