Logistics and Hub Manager- Middle East

Background

IsraAID ensures effective humanitarian access and program implementation in complex operational environments. This position will support our efforts in addressing bureaucratic and logistical challenges while facilitating coordination and communication with key stakeholders. The Logistics and Hub Manager will lead the Logistics Team to ensure timely and effective delivery of humanitarian aid.

Objective of the Role

The primary goal of this role is to support and ensure seamless logistical humanitarian operations by cultivating collaborations, managing logistics effort at scale, and overseeing activities implementation

Logistics:

· Lead logistic team operational planning aiming to operationalize and scale the logistics response in an effective manner.

· Lead the development of logistics program activities including budgets, objectives and reporting.

· Manage logistics team daily activities and implementation in line with approved log plan. Develop plans and budgets as necessary.

· Continuously map and troubleshoot humanitarian access routes into Gaza, addressing logistical and bureaucratic bottlenecks.

· Act as the point of contact with COGAT logistics team to clarify change in policy as necessary.

· Lead the development of MoUs for logistics collaborations in line with IsraAIDs threshold authority.

· Ensure compliance with MoU and budget implementation of identified collaborations, including the review and authorization of 'task orders' in line with threshold authorities.

Additional activities:

· Support the mission team with additional tasks as necessary including but not limited to: Program development, monitoring of program implementation, compliance, position paper development, coordination of special events, participation in strategic discussions.

· Assist in the coordination and implementation of partner and donor visits as required.

· Report on activities and consolidate reporting of missions activities into a bi-weekly mission report.

Representation:

· Have a thorough understanding of IsraAID’s global strategy and regional context.

· Act as an advocate for IsraAID’s humanitarian action locally and Globally.

· Represent the organization in front of stakeholders as required.

Requirements

· BA in NGO management, Operations management, international development, emergency management, or other relevant fields

· Minimum 3 years' experience in logistics and admin systems management

· Minimum of 2 years experience of working in humanitarian or development settings internationally or regionally.

· Proven experience in managing diverse teams

· Solid risk analysis capabilities

· Knowledge and experience of emergency management

· Demonstrated organizational skills; Able to consistently meet tight deadlines;

· Arabic/ Hebrew- an advantage
